Wildlife Commission Postpones Trout Stockings in Cane River

The N.C. Wildlife Resources Commission has suspended all Delayed Harvest trout stockings in the Cane River until further notice, due to a partial equipment failure at the Town of Burnsville Wastewater Treatment Plant in Yancey County. Andrew Eric Presnell, 263 Burnsville School Rd. Burnsville, NC. Deputy Gunter arrested Presnell for Driving after consuming alcohol while less than 21 years of age and consuming alcohol by 19/20 years old. Town of Burnsville Discharge of Untreated Sewage

The Town of Burnsville had a discharge of untreated wastewater from our wastewater collection system at the OMC Pump Station located at OMC Drive of approximately 360,000 gallons.  The discharge occurred on February 6, 2020 to February 7, 2020 for approximately 10 hours.  The untreated wastewater entered into Little Crabtree Creek in the French Broad River Basin. McDowell Sheriff’s Deputy Rescues Family of Four

A McDowell County Sheriff’s deputy saved a family of four from a burning home Thursday morning, February. 6th. Deputy Jordon Frisbee was at the Sheriff’s Office when the call about the blaze went out to emergency workers at 6:29 a.m. Frisbee arrived on the scene at 675 Veterans Drive to find the home engulfed in flames. The deadline for regular voter registration in North Carolina in the 2020 primary election is Friday, February 7th. This is also the final day that you can change your party affiliation.
