J. Ardell Sink

J. Ardell is C. E.O. of Mark Media Radio Stations. He graduated “magna cum laude” from High Point University with a BS degree. He began his radio career in the 1950’s with WBUY, Lexington, N. C. He founded WKYK in 1967. Remelle Sink

Remelle is C.F.O. of the Mark Media Group and President of Mountain Valley Media, inc. As part owner of the stations, she over sees the accounting, administrative and FCC matters and is a key member of the executive team. She works with all departments of the stations. Michael A. Sink

Michael is the Company President. He is also the one you wake up listening to on WKYK. Holly Sink Hall

Holly oversees the traffic (scheduling of programs and commercials), accounting, and website departments and is the Sales and Marketing Manager for both stations.

Dennis Renfro

Dennis started working part-time at WKYK in 1987. In 2002 he joined the stations on a full time basis. It’s Dennis that you will hear in the middle of the day during the noon hour and again from 5 to 6 pm. Bruce Ikard

Bruce’s first morning show on WTOE was in July of 1978. He left the air in 1997 and tried a number of other career endeavors including some radio work in Marion, NC. He returned to his first love, the morning show on WTOE on November 1st of 2010 and often tells folks that is all of life was as much fun as those 3 hours a day we would all be having a big ole time. Darrell Burleson

Darrell started work part time at WTOE in 1972.  He worked full time for 30 years at UNC-TV. He continues to do part time engineering for WTOE and WKYK. He also does other free lance engineering and consulting. When not working Darrell enjoys traveling across the United States. ...(more)

Bobby Proffitt

Bobby began at WKYK in 1991.  He started out by helping his son Charlie during the Ed Ball Gospel Sing request show on Sundays. His job was to answer the phones and take the requests. Later he began doing some of the announcing too and the program became the Sunday Gospel Jubilee and he and Charlie became “Co-Host”.
