As a part of their month long series of events in observance of October being Domestic Violence Awareness Month, the Family Violence Coalition of Yancey County will be offering a free screening of the documentary “Private Violence Thursday, November 1st at 5:30pm at the Yancey County Public Library. The screening will take place in the big room on the 2nd floor of the library.  The Family Violence Coalition will provide free popcorn drinks and candy.  The documentary has no rating and takes the viewer behind the scenes to see the lives of domestic violence victims and advocates.
