Katherine Jo ‘Katie Jo’ Phillips was taken to heaven in the arms of Jesus on Monday, January 5, 2026.
She is survived by her parents; Charles Anthony Phillips and Maranda Renae Phillips of Spruce Pine, NC, her paternal grandparents; Anthony Alan Phillips and Anne Green Phillips of Spruce Pine, NC, her maternal grandparents; James Andrew Schill Jr. and Tracy Lynn Schill of Marion, NC, her paternal great grandparents; Betty Jane Green, George Kirk Green (Lee Ann Green), her maternal great grandparent: Mary Katherine Schill, her paternal aunts; Mikaela Anne Phillips, Sophia Marie Phillips, Aleyna Ivory Phillips, her maternal aunt and uncle; Kaitlynn Elizabeth Eastwood and Scott David Eastwood, and her maternal cousin; Adalynn Marie Eastwood.
She was preceded in death by her paternal great grandparents, Bud Phillips and Vivian Ann Clark Phillips, Booster Texas Lindsey III, her maternal great grandparents; James Andrew Schill, John Edgar McCleary, Marjorie Ann McCleary, her paternal great aunt; Cynthia Ann Phillips and her maternal cousin; Maleana Jo Moore.
A private service will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2026 at 12:30pm and will be led by Pastor Toni Ruth Smith at 3950 Three Mile Highway, Spruce Pine, NC 28777.
