What is the Tourism Action Plan?
Following Hurricane Helene, the TDA board for Mitchell County, knew we needed direction and a plan. This year long process will highlight infrastructure projects that the TDA can facilitate, create, or partner with other organizations to bring to life.
Who is involved?
The TDA Board, community members, community leaders and Destination by Design
Is this different than the Bakersville Beautification/ DAT Plan?
Yes, we are focusing on all of Mitchell County while the BB+DAT Plan focus only on Bakersville. While we do have a project that overlaps, our team is working with their team! And Yes… you still need to attend even if you came to the DAT/Bakersville Beautification Forum a few weeks ago 😉
What Do I need to bring?
Just yourself and ideas! We will supply everything else including lite bites!
