The Orchard at Altapass is pleased to present their current live music schedule for its 2024 season. It begins May 26, with gospel hymn singing and continues with the Second Annual Pipes on the Parkway celebration the following Sunday.
The regular lineup has been scheduled, beginning on Saturday, June 8, and running through Sunday, October 27. The Orchard prides itself on presenting the best mountain music, whether mountain rhythms or twists of contemporary cadence, and this season’s offerings are no exceptions—music ranging from Bluegrass to country to Americana and folk and back to the very traditional songs that formed the bedrock of the musical heritage of the Appalachians. Evening performances, storytelling, old timers, and those just starting out. Each weekend, free live music will flow from the pavilion from 2 to 4 pm. Dancing is always optional and highly encouraged. “We’re excited about the upcoming season and hoping for a repeat of the great weather, great crowds, and abundant apples. We already have the talented musicians,” said Beth Hilton, Executive Director. “Last year, we also had some generous sponsors who underwrote the entire 2023 program. We’re hoping for the same this year.”
