Carolyn Loretta Morgan

Carolyn Loretta Morgan, 82, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, April 22, 2026.

Born on October 31, 1943, Carolyn lived a life defined by love, kindness, and selflessness. She was the cherished daughter of the late Malon Cheatham and Dorothy Mae Edwards, Carolyn was preceded in death by her son Jack “Dally” Dallas Morgan Jr., and her brothers Lawrence Cheatham and Charles “Buddy” Cheatham.

Carolyn was a devoted wife of Jack Dallas Morgan, with whom she shared 60 beautiful years of marriage. Together, they built a life centered on family, faith, and unwavering support for one another.

She will be remembered for her remarkable ability to make everyone feel special, always putting others before herself. Carolyn was a strong, beautiful soul—a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Her warm spirit, pure heart, and wonderful sense of humor touched all who knew her. She was especially proud of her role as a grandmother and was deeply devoted to her family.

She is survived by her loving husband, Jack Dallas Morgan; her daughter, Melissa King of Burnsville; her grandson, Tanner King of Burnsville; sisters: Barbara Coffield (David) of Jacksonville, Florida, Janice Walthers of Mt. Dora, Florida, and Katherine Crawford (Lewis) of Mt. Dora, Florida; along with many extended family members and dear friends.

A memorial service will be held at a later date in the summer.
