Linda Greene, age 66, of the Pine Branch Community, went Home to be with the Lord on Friday, April 17th, 2026 surrounded by her loving family.
A native of Mitchell County, she was a daughter to the late, Clarence Edward Wyatt and Betty Jean Stamey. In addition to her parents, Linda was also preceded in death by her loving husband J.C. Greene; two sisters: Carolyn Robinson and Brenda Gaye Young; and a brother, Warren Wayne Wyatt.
Linda was a familiar and cherished presence at Hardee’s for many years, where she took great pride in her work as a biscuit maker. Her early mornings were filled with purpose and the care she put into them was felt by everyone who walked through the doors. Linda attended Pine Branch Baptist Church, where her faith guided her life. She loved the Lord deeply and her belief was reflected in her kindness, humility and the way she treated others. Her church community was an important part of her life and she found joy and strength in fellowship and worship.
Above all, Linda treasured her family. She found her greatest happiness in the time she spent with them, especially with her beloved sisters. Whether sharing stories, laughter, or simply being together, those moments were among her most cherished.
She leaves a lifetime of love with her son, James Greene (Kristy) of Burnsville; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; sisters: Georgia Stamey (Ronald), Christine Franklin (Randy) both of Spruce Pine and Ann Rose (David) of Altapass.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, April 19th, 2026 at Pine Branch Baptist Church. Rev. Bruce Cannon and Rev. Wesley Ward will be officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral services at the church. Burial will take place in the Bear Creek Baptist Church Cemetery following the funeral services.
Pallbearers will be: Hunter Hall, David Rose, Edward Young, David Young, James Greene and Randy Franklin.
