A 20-year-old Mitchell County man was killed in a head-on crash Tuesday evening in the Foscoe community of Watauga County.
According to reports, Daylen Buchanan of Bakersville died following the collision on N.C. 105. Authorities say another driver is facing misdemeanor charges in connection with the crash.
The North Carolina State Highway Patrol continues to investigate the accident.
