Billy Carter, age 52, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 12th, 2020 at the Cranberry House.
A native of Buncombe County, he was a son of Brenda Cody Canipe of Spruce Pine, NC and Rick Carter of Weaverville, NC.
Billy was a happy go lucky, life loving young man. He had spent his life as a special needs individual, while never limiting his love of people, especially children, great movies, music and food. He was a Christian and he loved his Lord and Savior.
Left to cherish his memories are his mother, Brenda and step-father, Charles Canipe; a step-sister, Casey Canipe Presnell; step-brother, Corey Canipe and wife Lyndsey of Hardy VA; one nephew and two nieces; two cousins: Michael Cody of Mars Hill and Matthew Cody of Arden. Many friends in Greenville, SC and Spruce Pine, NC, but most at his home at the Cranberry House.
No services planned due to the Covid-19 outbreak. The family is at their home in Spruce Pine, NC.
The family would like to thank the staff of the Cranberry House, who have lovingly cared for Billy for several years.
