Patricia “Trish” Geneva Habanec, age 56, of the Jacks Creek Community, passed away on Monday, March 18th, 2024 at CarePartners Solace Center. A native of Yancey County, she was a daughter of Grace Fox and the late Dennis Dellinger.
Trish loved music and watching movies, participating in social media, and arts and crafts. She also loved animals, especially her companion, Casper. She and her husband, Charles, were huge fans of science fiction, but in no way did this or anything else in life compare to the love and adoration she had for Charles.
Surviving are her husband of five years, Charles Habanec, and stepdaughter, Elizabeth Habanec of Jacks Creek; her sister, Melissa Arrington of Marshall; and her furry companion, Casper. She is survived as well by several other extended family members.
A memorial service will be held at a later date and will be announced.
