Sarah first made radio broadcasting’s acquaintance when she was a County Extension Agent in Texas, and produced regular informational broadcasts. During her first year as an Extension Agent, a special broadcast of hers earned a National Award for Excellence. When she retired from Extension work, and moved to the Appalachians, a desire to get back on the air sent her to Mark Media.
You will sometimes hear her hosting the Noon Show on WTOE, and sometimes 5 pm show on WKYK and always the Saturday Noon Show on WTOE. Working part time allows her to work full-time at home sewing, quilting, canning, gardening and letting the cat in and out and in and out–these are her first loves!
In her past life, as an Army wife, Sarah, David and their four children have lived in seven states and one foreign country, but always knew that the mountains were home. Today kids and grands live in Houston, TX, Johnson City, TN, Aberdeen, Scotland, UK; ad are visited as often as time and budget allow!
