UPCycle! Creative Reuse Center Opening Soon, Volunteers Wanted

The UpCycle! is a new nonprofit creative reuse center, opening at the Earth to Sky Park (former Energy Xchange) October 20th.  We aim to creatively support education, the arts, the environment and economic development, by keeping materials out of the waste stream and in the hands of our creative community for repurposing. We operate a materials warehouse, with open craft tables, and an idea gallery. The UpCycle is a great place to get materials and inspiration for creative projects, and is a place where teachers, artists, and community groups can find supplies while working on limited budgets.

We’re actively seeking volunteers! Volunteer Orientation, Saturday October 13th, 11a-1p. Community Open House, Saturday October 20th, 10a-4p

Open craft tables for last minute costume inspiration.
Refreshments and Merriment!
The material warehouse will be operating on a cash only, donation basis.

The UpCycle! is located at Mayland’s Earth to Sky Park, the former Energy Xchange, above the Mitchell/Yancey Transfer Station, off Hwy 80.
