Three hundred and eighteen acres of land has been donated to the Town of Burnsville. According to Burnsville Town Manager Heather Hockaday, a local family owned Limited Liability Company donated the land to the Town in December. The property sits outside of the city limits but connects to the Burnsville Township. The donation comes with a stipulation that it be used for governmental public purposes only. The donors would like to see it used for recreational purposes for the public. According to Hockaday the Town is exploring possible options and will be developing a plan in the coming year.
