Gary Ted Burleson age 70, of Spruce Pine the Altapass community passed away Sunday March 3, 2024, at his home. Born in Mitchell County, he was a son of Agnes Biddix Burleson and the late Lawrence Burleson. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by two brothers Jim and Carl Burleson.
Gary worked for CSX as a welder, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, collecting rocks and conservation, he loved to be in the woods.
Left to cherish his memories is his wife of thirty years Robin Daniels Burleson of the home, his mother Agnes Biddix Burleson of Spruce Pine, daughter, Cassie York and husband Bryan of Ledger, grandchildren, Gus Schabilion and Ashton Gouge, sister, Amanda Storie and husband David of Spruce Pine and nephews, Vic and Grant Burleson and Robert and Ryan Whittington.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm Saturday March 9, 2024, in the chapel of Webb Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home
