Lillian Berry Silvers, age 85, of Saw Mill Hollow, passed away on Thursday, March 28th, 2024 at Care Partners Solace Center. A native of Yancey County, she was a daughter of the late Charlie and Della Bryant Berry. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Dolph Silvers; sister, Neva Silvers and brothers: Ray and Ted Berry. She was a lifelong member of Byrd Branch Baptist Church. Lillian loved her flowers, gardening, going to the beach, sitting on her porch in the sunshine resting her eyes and going down to the cabinet shop and spending time with friends.
Surviving is her daughter, Gwen Aldridge and husband, Gerald of Burnsville; granddaughter, Vickie Banks and husband, David, of Mars Hill; sisters: Mildred Silvers and husband, S.W. and June Berry and a brother, Gene Berry and wife, Maddie all of Burnsville. Several nieces, nephews and other extended family also survive.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Monday, April 1st in the Chapel of Yancey Funeral Services. Rev. Brandon Thomason will officiate. Burial will follow in the Jack Silvers Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 until 3 p.m. prior to the services at the funeral home.
