A Mitchell County citizen is offering a reward of up to $500 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of any individual(s) connected with the burning of the Mitchell County Mobile Recycling Truck. The incident occurred around 5:20 am on the morning of February 12, 2024.

County officials note that this reward does not use any taxpayer funds and is offered by a concerned citizen. Payment of the reward is contingent upon the arrest and conviction of the individual(s) responsible for the crime and payment is in the discretion of the board of commissioners upon consultation with the Sheriff of Mitchell County.
