Janel Griffin Robbins age 81 of Spruce Pine passed away Wednesday April 17, 2024, at the Care Partners Solace Center in Asheville. Born in Cleveland, OH, she was the daughter of the late Elbert and Mary Dodge Griffin.
Janel was a member of Berry Chapel Baptist Church where she sang in the choir, was on the hostess committee and helped with the Care Ministry. She enjoyed working crossword puzzles and acrylic painting and going to spend time at the Mitchell County Senior Center where her and her husband Tom helped deliver Meals on Wheels for a number of years.
Left to cherish her memories is her husband Tom Robbins of the home, brothers, Jeff Griffin of Montana, Bud Griffin of Georgia and Doug Griffin of Fletcher, NC. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A service to celebrate the life of Janel Robbins will be held at 3:00 pm Sunday April 28, 2024, at the Berry Chapel Baptist Church with the Rev. Steve Williams officiating. Inurnment will follow in the Berry Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Mitchell County Senior Center 152 Ledger School Road, Bakersville NC 28705.
