Drive thru testing for COVID-19 will begin at 9am in Burnsville. The testing will be at the Yancey County Health Department from 9am until 3:30pm. Anyone who would like to be tested, regardless of symptoms, is welcome to participate.
Health officials said the reasons for drive through testing are twofold. First, they want to do their part to increase testing availability, this goes along with our Governors re-opening plan. Secondly, they have had a large percentage of residents asking for this service.
Drive thru testing for Mitchell County will be 1 week from today at Harris Middle School.
