Elizabeth Gayle Rohr, age 69, of Spruce Pine, passed away on Friday, May 22nd 2020 at the home she shared with her loving family.
A native of Mitchell County, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Anna Duncan Buchanan. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Frankie Rohr and a sister, Francis Buchanan.
Surviving is her only daughter, Sandy Rohr Phillips, and husband James; grandchildren: Cole Phillips, Cassi Phillips and Grant Phillips, and other family members: Christy Rash, and husband Paul, Renee Duncan, Tonya and Josh Capps, Francesca and Marshall Huffman, and Devin Teague.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, May 30th, at 7 p.m. at the home of James and Sandy Phillips. A sunset, outdoor service, to celebrate the life of Gayle Rohr. Everyone is invited to attend. The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service.
In Lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial donations be made to the Elizabeth Gayle Rohr Memorial Fund at State Employees Credit Union.
Donations will be given to Hospice and Duke Anatomical gifts, per the request of Elizabeth Gayle Rohr.
