Sizzlin’ Summer Series Rock Climbing Adventure

Adventure calls at this weekend’s Healthy Yancey Sizzlin’ Summer Series event. The series has 12 weeks of fun, family-friendly, free physical activity opportunities. We invite kids, families, and community members of all ages and skill levels to join us on Saturday, June 3rd from 10:00 am-2:00 pm on the Burnsville Town Square.

Come try your hand at rock climbing on the Town Square! Whether it’s your first time climbing or you are a seasoned adventurer, experienced staff will be there to help you navigate a mobile climbing wall! Big thanks to the Yancey County Sheriff’s Department and Yancey Emergency Management for sponsoring this week’s event.

If rock climbing isn’t your thing or you just want to stay active while you wait, join a REFIT®️ exercise class, led by Morgan, that combines powerful moves with positive workout music that feels like a dance party.

The next Saturday, June 10, will be the annual Bikes and Wheels Sizzlin’ Summer Event from 9:00-11:00.  If anyone is interested in volunteering for this event, we would love to have your help!  Please email Donna at donna@pathwnc.org if you are interested.

A program of Partners Aligned Toward Health, Healthy Yancey is a partnership of concerned citizens working together to improve the quality of health for all people in Yancey County. Healthy Yancey developed the Sizzlin’ Summer Series in an effort to increase connections between neighbors and people, increase physical activity, and create fun ways to play and be active in our community.
