AdventHealth has planned a Listening Session for area residents May 14, 4-6pm, at Yancey Community Center, formerly Yancey Senior Center. The AdventHealth Leadership team will be on hand to tell about the new hospital to be located in Weaverville. The proposed facility will offer emergency, surgery, labor and delivery, and support services. Plus the potential addition of 26 acute care beds through a Certificate of Need (CON). AdventHealth would like to visit with people living and working throughout the acute care service area of Yancey County to learn more about our community’s unique health care needs, along with the growing desire for additional health care choices and competition in Western North Carolina.
