The Town of Burnsville had a discharge of untreated wastewater from our wastewater collection system at the OMC Pump Station located at OMC Drive of approximately 156,750 gallons. The discharge occurred on June 27, 2020 for approximately 9.5 hours. The untreated wastewater entered into Little Crabtree Creek in the French Broad River Basin. This was caused by the force main breaking. The Town had Hyatt Pipeline lay 200 linear feet of new sewer line to prevent further discharge.
