Superintendent Kathy Amos stated, “We understand our students and parents want to return to a normal schedule this school year. However, as we continue to monitor the local case count, our numbers continue to increase and now involve school age children. Due to this recent development, our Board decided to review our school plans. I thank the district leaders, administrators, faculty and staff for putting in the numerous hours to prepare for this school year. We look forward to the day that we can welcome all our students back into our classrooms.”

The North Carolina High School Athletic Association also announced today that fall sports have been pushed back to November 4th and the “no practice” week will be August 17-21. Football has been delayed until February.  View Sports Calendar
