Stroll, walk or Run To Register for Burnsville Fit Families 5K

The 13th Annual BFF 5K will be held on April 20th at 9am on the Burnsville Town Square. Registration is now open for both individuals and relay teams. Highland Games – Outstanding Athletes

At the 67th annual Grandfather Mountain Highland Games, two track and field athletes secured their first Outstanding Men’s Athlete and Outstanding Women’s Athlete honors. Ty Smith from Elizabethton, Tenn., and Amanda Pasko from Charlotte, N.C., earned the respective titles. High School Basketball Rule Change

Free-throw and foul situations in high school basketball will look different for the 2023-24 season. The one-and-one free throw has been eliminated and foul limits will reset after each quarter. High school teams always will shoot two free throws for common fouls in “bonus” situations.
